I’m very happy for our client. The Court’s decision in favor of our client was legally and factually correct.”

LONG BEACH, CA, UNITED STATES, October 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Wade Litigation attorney Yuri Voronin has secured another courtroom victory, successfully defending a client against a petition for an elder abuse restraining order following a contested hearing in Long Beach Superior Court (case No. 26TRRO00795).

The case arose from a dispute between neighboring property owners. The petitioner alleged that Wade Litigation’s client had harassed him in several ways, including playing amplified sounds, flying a drone over the petitioner’s property, directing flashing lights toward the property, and engaging in hostile verbal exchanges.

Before the client retained Wade Litigation, a temporary restraining order had already been issued against them. The petitioner then sought a longer-lasting restraining order.

Voronin Successfully Challenges Petitioner’s Evidence at Trial

At the hearing, the petitioner presented testimony from four witnesses, including himself and three family members, along with audio recordings and photographs.

Voronin conducted extensive cross-examination of each of the petitioner’s witnesses, challenging the evidence offered in support of the allegations. After the petitioner rested his case, Voronin moved to dismiss the petition on the grounds that the petitioner had failed to meet the required burden of proof.

Notably, Voronin secured a favorable ruling without calling his client to testify. Commissioner Villegas denied the petition, ruling in favor of Wade Litigation’s client and ending the petitioner’s effort to obtain a restraining order.

Attorney Voronin Comments on the Victory

“I’m very happy for our client,” Voronin said. “The Court’s decision in favor of our client was legally and factually correct.”

The outcome underscores the value of effective cross-examination, careful evaluation of the evidence, and strategic courtroom advocacy in contested civil litigation matters. Restraining order petitions can carry lasting consequences for the person named, and a strong defense at the hearing stage can make the difference.
